"Official" Senate CIA Torture Report

Please go and read James Jacobs' post The Official Senate CIA Torture Report to understand the challenges government documents librarians face. You would think that a document generating such worldwide interest would be easy to find and preserve. In your dreams, as it turns out.

Thanks for posting David. As the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) erodes (only a few of us are actually continuing to do born-digital collection development) the preservation of born-digital US govt information becomes more and more tenuous. If any of your readers have experience and/or ideas for continuing w FDLP responsibilities, please have them contact freegovinfo.info.

James has another post up illustrating another case where the "published" status of a government document is vague.
